Spring has sprung

Learning about living and non living things is one of our favorite science units. We have talked about what plants need to grow and their parts. We took a little field trip to our very own garden beside the library. What a beautiful place. We observed plants and flowers and identified their different parts. Then we recorded our observations in our science journals.
We decided we are going to go to our beautiful garden to have class one day☀

He is Risen!

I love Easter, and Glenn Beck has just the right words about why I love it so.........
Easter is actually the greatest love story ever told – yet mankind has managed to water it down to an opportunity to devour a few extra M&M’s and are actually ‘offended’ when they hear it. How could that be? What’s offensive about this: The very first Easter weekend – three days that changed the world forever – took place over 2,000 years ago. Mankind was lost, floundering – headed for destruction. But because God so loved the world, He gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in him will never die & have eternal life. And like the good Shepherd, Jesus laid down His life for the flock – and suffered greatly in doing so. He didn’t have to – but He did. That is why we celebrate.

Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin has left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow...
Happy Easter, may you live in His promise

AAARRRGHHH

We had such a great time on our field trip to Main Street Theatre, to see the play, How I Became A Pirate.  The kids loved it.  If you haven't ever been to a production at Main Street you need to go.  They do a great job of bring children's books to life.  After our play we went to Ray Miller Park for a picnic.  It turned out to be a great day!

I love go western day at MWE, and our tradition of square dancing for our parents. This year we decided to have our pk/k rodeo on the same day. What a day!! Our little cowboys and cowgirls were plum tuckered out! And so was their teacher!
